CHEER LEAGUE

League Rules and Points System

Each squad will earn 5 points for participation in each of the three events in the league. To qualify for winning the league, a team must participate in all three events.

The winners of each event will earn 20 points, while the runners-up will get 15 points, and the third-place team will receive 10 points.

The judges have the discretion to award an extra 5 points for exceptional individual performances at each event, known as Cheerleader of the Day.

Please ensure you have purchased your competition fee for your cheerleader

Season 2026/27

Round 1 – LDCA Season Opener
Sunday – 29th November 2026
Time: Heat 1 (Morning), Heat 2 (Afternoon) Times TBC
Location: South Hampstead High School, NW3

Held just before the end of the Autumn Term, this year we have a new and improved format in which all of our cheer squads will come together to compete in the various elements of cheerleading in isolation. Jumps, Tumbles and Stunts!

Round 2 – Semi Final
Juniors – Heat 1 Sunday 21st, Heat 2 Sunday 21st March 2027 
Times: TBC
Locations: South Hampstead High School, NW3
Seniors – Heat 1 Monday 22nd, Heat 2 Tuesday 23rd March 2027
Times: After school (exact times TBC)
Locations: South Hampstead High School, NW3

This is the first competition where your family and friends can come to show their support. During the spring term, our squads work extremely hard to put together a full 2.5 minute routine that includes all the exciting elements of cheerleading – stunts, jumps, tumbling, pyramid, and dance.

Round 3 – Grand Final
Saturday 12th June and Sunday 13th June 2027
Time: TBC
Location: TBC
